Fr. Dan is the son of Nick and Paula Duling of Goddard, KS. He has two brothers, two sisters, three nieces, and one nephew. Fr. Dan was baptized at St. Francis as a child, attended grade school at St. Peter the Apostle in Schulte, and graduated from Bishop Carroll Catholic High School in 2002. He attended seminary at Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary in Winona Minnesota, graduated in 2007, then attended Mount St. Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD.

Fr. Dan was ordained on May 28, 2011 by Bishop Michael O. Jackels. He has served at St. Thomas Aquinas as Associate Pastor; Kapaun Mt. Carmel as Chaplain; Associate Director of Vocations; Parochial Vicar at St. Francis; and Priest Assistant to the Bishop, and Diocesan Master of Ceremonies. He currently serves as the Pastor of St. Rose in Mt. Vernon and St. Louis in Waterloo.
